SUMMARY:SPI Fool's Run 5K/10K 2026
DESCRIPTION:Come and Fool around with us on the best beach in Texas!  We encourage you to bring your family and friends and dress up in your most foolish costume as you tackle the 5k and/or Chip Timed 10K course!  A portion of proceeds will be benefiting Walk for Women\, Inc. a non-profit organization that benefits women in the lower Rio Grande Valley by providing financial\, prosthetic and diagnostic support as they battle breast cancer. \nRACE COURSE: \n10K (6.2 miles). Starts and ends on the beach at Margaritaville Beach Resort on South Padre Island. Water and gatorade stations will be provided along the course and at the finish line. This will be a chip-timed course.  You have the option to walk and/or run. \n5K (3.1 miles). This course starts and ends on the beach at Margaritaville Beach Resort on South Padre Island. THIS IS NOT A RACE. IT IS A PARTICIPATION WALK.  If you’d like\, you have the option to also jog and/or run. \nKids 1 Mile: Starts and ends on the beach at Margaritaville Beach Resort. \nAWARDS & PRESENTATIONS: Medals will be given to the overall 1st male and female winners as well as 1st through 3rd place winners in each male and female age division of the 10K. In addition\, the overall top male and female winners will receive a special prize!  Overall winners will be ineligible for awards in their respective age divisions. ALL PARTICIPANTS CROSSING THE FINISH LINES WILL RECEIVE FINISHER MEDALS. (while supplies last!).  Participants are encouraged to dress up in their most “foolish” costume for a chance to win a sweet prize for “best costume”!
